MashUp's The Wholiness Project

2024 brought the amazing opportunity to collaborate with Nashville non-profit, MashUp!. MashUp! is dedicated to providing holistic health and wellness resources to Black LGBTQ+ communities. I met their founder and COO and he pitched a profound idea to me: The Wholiness Project.

The Wholiness project would create inclusive spaces and offer educational dialogue for queer individuals whose spirituality feels in conflict with their sexuality. This project was dedicated to rectifying the relationship between the Church and the Queer community. MashUp! knew that many churches had rejected their community and so they wanted to bring Church to those in the LGBTQ+ community in a safe and constructive way. And, MashUp! needed a videographer to capture it all. It was truly my honor to be apart of such an important and divine effort.

During this project, I created an opening theme to be used as the initial marketing teaser. I additionally edited two featurettes of the CEO and COO. I got to produce two short documentaries with local clergymen who also happened to be queer. Finally, I served as the on-site videographer for their opening Wholiness Brunch and created a recap video of the event.
